About the Committee
About the Committee
The Yokohama Open Organizing Committee takes Yokohama as its stage to widen what competitive billiards can be, and to build a new kind of tournament that brings together sport, culture and the city.
We are more than a tournament organizer.
Our mission is to create a place where players, companies, the community and the next generation meet, and to set in motion a cycle of challenge that reaches from Yokohama to the world.
Philosophy
Our Philosophy
For the Yokohama Open Organizing Committee, holding a tournament is never an end in itself.
To raise the value of the game,
to stand behind every player who takes up the challenge,
and to bring new currents of culture and commerce to the city.
To that end, we look beyond the boundaries of sport in how we design our events, develop players and tell their stories.
Our Vision
“Challenge makes a city stronger.”
We want Yokohama to be a city of challenge: a place where those who dare and the companies that back them meet, grow together, and keep taking on the world.
Through billiards, we will shape new currents in culture and industry.
Our Mission
“Creating the future of billiards, from Yokohama.”
We aim to go beyond sport and help create the future.
We will nurture the next generation of players, build a stage that captivates the world, and root a culture of challenge in this city.
Our Core Values
Challenge. Unity. Creating the Future.
To raise billiards from a competition into a culture, the Yokohama Open Organizing Committee holds to three values.
- A fair and open arena for every challenger
- The strength of many cultures, linking the city and the world
- A sporting culture built to last
What the Committee Does
The Yokohama Open Organizing Committee runs its tournaments through the following roles.
- 01Planning, operation and overall management of each tournament
- 02Financial management and transparent accounts
- 03Working with sponsors and partner organizations
- 04Streaming, publicity and media relations
- 05Care for players, spectators and volunteers
With each role clearly assigned, we are building an organization that can sustain the tournaments for years to come.
Our First Year
Our First Year
Eight months have passed since our first tournament in February 2026. Every one of the three events we have held so far filled to capacity. Each match was streamed, and every result has been kept on record.
Tournaments Held
We also handled the streaming for the LADIES TOURNAMENT in August 2026 (most-viewed stream: 3,063 views).
What Sets Us Apart
We publish every match result for every player, down to win rates and break success rates. It is a level of record-keeping not offered even on the international professional tours.
We report tournament results in Japanese, Traditional Chinese and English.
Our Tournament Calendar, which brings together official events nationwide and in Kanagawa, is updated every week.
Together with Our Sponsors
Our tournaments are made possible by many companies, including our title sponsors BLUEROSE, Sumai Agent and SANSIAS. In one case, an inquiry through a sponsor’s dedicated page on our site led to the sale of a high-value product.
Sponsorship information →Figures are based on tournament records, our official YouTube channel and Google Search Console (as of September 30, 2026).
Governance
Governance and Transparency
We place great weight on governance and transparency, so that companies, local governments and players can work with us with confidence.
- Clear operating rules
- Published financial reports
- Formal bylaws and guidelines
- Future collaboration with professionals such as tax accountants
We believe that trust, built up step by step, is what gives a tournament its value.
