Whenever we correct a factual error in an article or page on this site, we record the date and the details here. We believe that not hiding our mistakes, and making it clear what we have corrected, is part of keeping a trustworthy record.
We began this log in October 2026. Adjustments to wording and updates to information such as opening hours are not included here. For our approach, please see our Editorial Policy.

Corrections to Date
- October 9, 2026 Billiards in Yokohama: A History (all five language versions): We removed the passage about the Yokohama showroom of Nissyotei Co., Ltd., which no longer exists.
- October 9, 2026 Yokohama and Billiards | A Story That Began in a Port Town (all five language versions): We added notes and references at the end of the article on matters including the two views on when billiards reached Japan, the table at the Yokohama Hotel, and the account in Dokyujo Nikki (A Billiard Hall Diary). The text of the article itself has not been changed. On the same day, we revised the note on the Yokohama Hotel to reflect what we confirmed in the original 1864 account by Spiess, who stayed at the hotel.
- October 8, 2026 Around Yokohama Station (all five language versions): We had given the date Hideyuki Ohashi became WBA world strawweight champion as “October 1992.” Because sources differ on the month, we changed it to “1992.”
- October 6, 2026 Sumai Agent – Yamashita Koen Heights: We had identified the ship moored in front of Yamashita Park as the Nippon Maru. It is in fact the Hikawa Maru. This has been corrected.
- October 2026 English version of the article “It felt as if the Yokohama summer would never end.“: We changed the English names of the Western-style residences in Yamate to the official English names used by the facilities themselves (Bluff No.111, Bluff No.234, The Home of a Diplomat, and others).
