Sumai Agent presents Yokohama BC Count9 Battle 2026 is now just seven days away.

Today we’d like to introduce the three companies sponsoring this tournament.

An unofficial tournament for B and C class, intermediate players, backed by a title sponsor and several other companies: look across other sports, and you’ll see this is by no means a given.
This tournament exists because each of these companies truly supports billiards as a culture, and the players who take up the challenge.

Title sponsor: Sumai Agent

This tournament’s title sponsor is Sumai Agent Co., Ltd..

Why would a real estate company with no ties at all to the billiards world sponsor an amateur tournament, and an intermediate one at that?

The answer is simple.

They want to stand behind people who give it their all.

In any industry, in any category, it is the people who take on a challenge who bring a field to life.

Effort is not always rewarded.
But without effort, there are no results.

What has value is not only whether results come, but the very energy of wanting them. — That spirit is what led to this sponsorship.

The 64 players taking on the BC stage in earnest are worthy of that feeling.
The committee is deeply grateful for Sumai Agent’s support.

With its office in Hagoromo-cho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, just a short way from POOL LABO, Sumai Agent is a specialist in buying and selling real estate. Its work ranges widely, from brokerage to buying and reselling property, and through partnerships with licensed professionals it is especially strong in inheritance cases and voluntary sales.

Its coverage reaches well beyond Yokohama: Tokyo and the three neighboring prefectures, of course, and for inheritance sales as far as Kansai, Kyushu and Hokkaido. It can handle properties nationwide.
It handles not only homes but investment property, too, and you can bring your questions about managing assets as well.
And above all —the staff who look after you understand billiards.

If you are thinking of buying or selling property, or of managing your assets, please talk to Sumai Agent, who are supporting this BC tournament.
When you do, let them know you read the Yokohama Open Organizing Committee’s blog.
They have prepared a small special offer.
You can ask about the details when you get in touch.

Venue and sponsor: POOL LABO

This tournament’s venue, in a prime spot along Yokohama’s Isezaki Mall, is POOL LABO.

Its owner is a three-time Asian Champion, Lo Li-wen.
Impressive as his titles are, Lo’s true greatness lies in the overwhelming steadiness with which he keeps a high average all season long.

On the Grand Prix East he has piled up at least 23 career wins, and he has been named MVP over several seasons.
Holding a level said to be “harder than winning” across an entire season is a part of a professional’s game that deserves far more recognition.

The hall is also where Lo himself practices.
It has eight tables in all, six Wiraka and two Brunswick, along with darts and a bar counter.
It also serves as a Grand Prix East venue: a serious setting where you can feel the pro tour up close.

Private lessons with Lo are also available.
Blending the systematic practice methods he developed in Taiwan with his professional experience in Japan, his “Japan–Taiwan Hybrid Method” is well received, tailored to each player’s level, from amateur to pro.

If hearing the top pros’ commentary at this tournament makes you think “I want to get better,” do consider it.

No-handicap events with pros taking part, and study sessions on 14.1 (straight pool), are held regularly. The hall also plays in the JCL (Japan CSI Pool League), so there are plenty of chances to test yourself.

Sponsor: Just Do It Co., Ltd.

Our third sponsor is Just Do It Co., Ltd..

The company also runs Cue Shop Japan, one of the largest online stores for billiards gear in Japan, and a favorite of a great many players.

And Billizone, the scoring service actually in use at this tournament, is also provided by Just Do It.
Billizone is a service for tracking scores, recording video, keeping rankings and more, and it helps bring tournament operations into the digital age.

We have already asked all entrants to register for an account; it is truly a service holding up this tournament from behind the scenes.

Just Do It also helps run the organizing committee of the Hokuriku Open, and has supported Japanese billiards for many years.
It is also a sponsor of this tournament’s commentators, Hijikata and Lo.

And now Just Do It is sponsoring this BC tournament as well.
Its readiness to look not only at professional events but also at the stages where intermediate players test themselves is helping to raise the level of Japanese billiards as a whole.

Watching is free. Set your cue down, and try being a spectator.

The more you play billiards, the fewer chances, surprisingly, you get to simply “watch” a match.

Settle in and watch a tournament you’re not playing in.
Follow the players’ thinking while listening to Hijikata’s and Lo’s commentary.
Watching while asking “what would I do there?” brings a kind of learning you can’t get from practice or from playing.

Not whether the play is good or bad, but the thinking and judgment behind each shot, put into words by top pros — that is where the value lies.
“Why strike the cue ball there?”
“Why play for that position?” — the map of thinking that the commentary reveals should lead you to new discoveries in your own billiards.

At this tournament, watching is free.
POOL LABO is reserved for the event all day, and the space for spectators grows as the matches go on.
Do come to the venue, and watch billiards through the eyes of top pros.
