SANSIAS presents Yokohama 14-1 Summit 2026 Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, 2026 POOL LABO (Kannai, Yokohama)
This tournament is held with the support of its title sponsor, SANSIAS, an office of judicial scriveners, administrative scriveners and land and house surveyors.
We are deeply grateful to them for seeing value in the game of pool, and in this challenge, and for giving us their support.
We will introduce all of our sponsors properly in due course.
Pocket a ball.
Leave yourself the next.
Keep the chain going, all the way to the target score.
Shot-making, position play, and the mind that sees one ball ahead: this game holds the same intellectual thrill as watching shogi.
It gave up its place in the mainstream to 9-ball, yet it is the game seasoned players never let go of.
For its depth, it is called the King of Games.
The only official pro event is the All Japan 14.1 (straight pool) Open Championship; for amateurs, the only official event is the Kansai 14.1.
Across the whole country, there are still few places to play it in competition.
Amid all that, we want to send 14.1 out into the world from Yokohama.
That is the thought behind this tournament.
It is also a perfect match for stats.
Watch with the numbers in hand, and every choice of ball comes into deeper view.
As pool to watch, we believe there is no game more fascinating.
This time, 32 players gather: pros from the very top level in Japan, and top amateurs from all over the country who have spent years honing their 14.1.
28 amateurs, 4 pros.
By invitation.
Two days: a qualifying round robin in four groups of eight, a final knockout for the top two of each group, and a satellite knockout for those finishing third and fourth.
Stats for every player will be updated and published throughout the tournament.
Watching in person is free.
We also plan to stream on YouTube from the qualifying rounds on.
We will share the details, little by little, from here.
For now, please look forward to August 14 and 15.
We look forward to seeing you in Yokohama.
