The Yokohama Open Organizing Committee has gained another strong ally.
NAOLLY, tip maker and leather craftsman long loved by pool players, has agreed to join the Organizing Committee as a sponsoring partner.
What kind of brand is NAOLLY?
NAOLLY is a leather house and tip maker based in Sumida, Tokyo.
“What only a leather house can do, and knows. The knowledge and connections that only pros can have. We want to deliver reliable information and products you can trust, so that your life in pool can shine all the more. We want to stand beside everyone who loves pool.” That is what NAOLLY believes.
True to those words, they go beyond making and selling tips, offering maintenance services such as leather grip wraps, tip installation and cue refinishing, and they have recently started selling cues too.
A trusted presence, ready to look after everything around a pool player’s cue.
How a NAOLLY tip is born
The NAOLLY tip was born from the pursuit of “a tip only a leather house could make.”
From carefully selected hides, only the very best parts are used for tips.
And before it was finished, it went through 38 rounds of prototypes.
Made with the help of many pool pros: that is the NAOLLY tip.
Its qualities: no delamination, no breaking, no wearing down, stable performance and a long life.
Many players also say it gives little deflection, no over-spin, and draws well.
It comes in five hardnesses, S1 / S / M / H / H1, suiting a wide range of players from pocket billiards to three-cushion.
Leading top pros use it themselves, among them Satoshi Kuribayashi, Miyuki Kuribayashi, two pros named Kitatani (one of them Yoshihiro Kitatani), Lo Li-wen, Rieko Haji and Kotaro Sakakibara.
The pride of “Sumida, a city of leather”
Sumida, where NAOLLY’s tips and leather goods are made, has a deep history.
Since the Edo period, Sumida has thrived on industries such as dyeing and timber, and from the Meiji era on, many factories, leather among them, sprang up, until it grew into a great birthplace of “modern light industry,” centered on everyday goods.
Drawing on the rich water sources between the Sumida and Arakawa rivers, tanners gathered here, and in time the area became known across the country for its leather.
Yahiro in Sumida, in particular, is a “leather town” known to those in the know: one of Japan’s leading leather-producing areas, accounting for a full 90% of the country’s pigskin tanning.
Rooted in Sumida, NAOLLY uses a strength only a leather house has, the ability to offer fine leather at low prices with no middlemen, to keep delivering the best materials to pool players.
Not just tips!
Beyond selling tips, NAOLLY offers a full range of maintenance services by craftsmen.
Tip installation follows the motto “fast work, high quality,” and grip wraps are delivered with confidence: “the finish is second to none.”
Bring your cue to the shop, or send it by mail.
They have recently started selling cues too, and the service grows fuller all the time.

The Yokohama Open Organizing Committee keeps taking on the challenge
At the Yokohama Open Organizing Committee, new tournaments are steadily taking shape: BC Battle, planned for around Golden Week, and a 14.1 (straight pool) event around August, among others.
At such an important moment, to have NAOLLY join us as a sponsoring partner, following the exclusive Japan distributor of Zen Custom Cue, is truly heartening, and means a great deal to us.
The appeal of pool as a sport, of course, but also the care for equipment, the feel of leather, the craftsman’s skill poured into a single tip.
We want to bring that depth and beauty of pool not only to players, but to many more people.
From the city of Yokohama, we will keep taking on that challenge.
Thank you, as always, for your warm support of the Yokohama Open Organizing Committee!
The Yokohama Open Organizing Committee also continues to welcome companies interested in sponsoring us.
Please feel free to get in touch.
